Laser hair reduction remains one of the most requested treatments for a simple reason: it addresses unwanted hair at the follicle rather than just the visible surface, which shaving and waxing can’t do.
How it actually works
The laser targets melanin in the hair follicle, converting light energy into heat that disables the follicle’s ability to produce hair as effectively. Because only hair in its active growth phase responds fully, and not all your hair is in that phase at once, results build over a course of sessions rather than in a single visit — this is a biological reality of hair growth cycles, not a limitation of the specific device.
What a session involves
The area is cleaned, a cooling gel or the device’s own cooling tip is used to protect the skin, and the laser is passed across the treatment area. Sessions range from a few minutes for a small area like the upper lip to closer to an hour for larger areas like the back or full legs. Most people see some redness immediately afterward that settles within a few hours.
Getting your specific plan
Hair color, thickness, hormonal factors, and skin tone all affect how many sessions you’ll need and how your skin should be treated safely — which is why we do a proper assessment and patch test rather than quoting a generic package before ever seeing your skin.
